MITU
A former VIP room
Formerly the VIP entrance hall for the traditional Japanese restaurant KIN-NAKA.
After passing through the humble entryway,
visitors will reach a luxurious room constructed from
elegant vertical grain planks of hinoki cypress
that would have served to greet the most prestigious guests.
The vibrant color pallet of potter Wato Maekawa corresponds to
the seasonal scenery that can be viewed through the large windows.
Mi comes the term for time passing,
while Tu refers to spending it in an intimate, peaceful fashion.
MITU holds our thoughts for all of the travelers visiting Inami.
