A former door carpenter’s house

This is a town of artisans.
TATEGU-YA once served as the home and workshop of a Japanese door carpenter.
This 50-year old dwelling went through a complete transformation,
but its reminiscence of a carpenter’s studio was intentionally kept intact
even in its new existence as a BnC villa.
The works of woodcarver Komei Tanaka are on display throughout the interior.
This space offers guests a true experience of the essence of Inami;
the fragrant aroma of wood and the dedicated work of the local artisans.
